The photographer successfully shapes the body into an art object. The satin sheets become a column of sculpture, a pedestal that shares the effects of light with the masterpiece it carries. Every detail seems to have been assigned to the right proportion. Thus, the model’s buttocks are pressed to create a specific shape. The arm and the open palm were used as leverage to provide a pre-imagined geometry. The same mechanical process created an exceptional molding to the back and an attractive protrusion to the vertebrae. Even the hair seems to have been controlled to produce an exact number of strands..

The photographer immerses the models in a fluid, milky scene that erases any incidence of shadow, tracing the contours of the naked body in pure crystalline lines. The outer contours highlight the pear shape of her buttocks, hips and waist, while the inner contour lines highlight the model’s beautifully shaped buttocks slit, running down her thighs and parting at the back of her knees. The handsome face staring straight into the camera lens and surrounded by abundant dark hair gives the necessary contrast effect.

In this photograph, the Japanese master, Tatsuyuki Nakamura, displays his talent for human architecture. First, he positions the model’s face so that her lips gain prominence on the front of the stage. By having the neck swallowed by darkness, the face becomes a mask centered above the human sculpture as if by a magnetic effect rather than being traditionally supported by the neck. The model’s body seems to be enclosed in an imaginary triangle whose base goes from the fingertips of the left hand to the right knee. The midline of the triangle is formed by the head-knee-shin-toes span. An incredibly impressive composition.
